The Difference between a Wish and a Worry

We often worry whether we are going to be happy, have enough money, or be healthy. Much of that is discursive and automated – our thoughts tend to flow toward uncertainty or our problems. But a wish is conscious, which means it’s a break from habitual thinking, a new choice that stands apart from discursive drift. It’s powerful and singular.

In tonight’s Focus & Relax, we will practice raising an intention and seeing what it feels like when that intention spreads beyond our strictly individual concerns.
